How much experience do have with boats and being on the water? Your best bet would be to place an ad on craig’s list. If your serious about it, depending on your experience you may be able to get a gig as a deck hand or if your lucky first-mate, remember to log all your sea time and set your sights for obtaining your captain’s license. Have you considered the merchant marines? You would acquire alot of sea time, experience and good money. Good luck, once you get salt in your blood you’ll never shake it!
