Power bate will help you two out and do bing your fly pol too. Good luck to you and have as will too.
Well if its bass your looking for try something like worms or crank-baits. I usually have good luck with brands such as tournament series, storm, and many others. But if you are fishing for bass you will have the best luck with tournament series. Good luck fishing!
The ultimate bass bait is the texas rigged plastic worm. Use a 1/8th oz bullet weight and a 3/0 Gamakatsu worm hook. Do not be afraid to throw it in the thickest vegetation. Remember to let it fall into holes, work it slowly over weed beds. Try to take your time. When you cast it out, let it sink to the bottom before you start reeling. I cannot tell you how many bass I have caught on a cast that I never retrieved. Pay attention to your line as it sinks, you may see it twitch. Be ready to bust him. When he hits, I count one thousand one one thousand two, not letting him feel the line. Reel the slack and smack him.
My favorite color is Moccasin!
Live shiners will always catch the biggest fish. Try this link for more information on other baits and how to use them.

I wouldn’t waste my money to buy expensive live minnows or waste my time catching bait or turning over rocks for salamanders or crawdads. A night crawler fished close to the bottom works fine for me. I have caught Bass as big as 12″ or so with this technique.
Shiners would go perfect with the tackle you have described. If you dont want to handle live bait then I would use Berkley Gulp minnows and rig them the same way. Wish my wife would go bass fishing with me.
i say you get some zoom watermelon red flukes and lead weights and a 4/0 wide gap hook. just throw that out and slowly reel it back in
If you are not proficient with artificial lures i would recommend finding a bait store and taking some live minnows, 3-4 inches long preferably. hook em through the nose and toss em out along the banks either on a float or just put a small sinker about a foot in front of them. just enough to make them sink.
you should definitely try a Rattle Trap, a spinnerbait (way too many brands to list but I usually use the cheapo brand), and some plastic worms (buy a pack of Senko brand and a pack of Berkley plastic worms).
Hope it helps
