they should have trout worms at your local walmart.. and probably not. trout worms are too small. if you used a whole giant canadian nightcrawler-yes. my brother caught a hug largemouth abss on 2 nightcrawlers cuz he was pissed off that we werent catching anything, so he just put 2 giant nightcrawlers and he caught a giant largemouth. good luck

Nightcrawlers always work the best and yes, the bass may take a whack at them too! But normally, you use lures to catch bass with! That means standing up, casting and reeling back in to attract the bass and hopefully they’ll go for the bait (lure)! It all depends on the weather, the area you’ll go fishing at, whether or not the bass and the trout will actually be biting or what they’ll be going for (meaning they might not be hitting off of worm, but powerbait instead or salmon eggs or corn), how deep the water will be, and whether or not there will be obstacles in your way (i.e. weeds in which case you’ll need certain lures to go through them and they can be expensive too or else you’ll get snagged on them and you’ll more than likely have to break your line to get “unstuck!”)! Know how deep the water depth will be by asking someone around there so this way you’ll know where to put the weight at and what kind to use!

    1. Night crawlers that are alive and real wiggly.
    2. Yes.
    3. That takes some experimentation on how far you have to cast and how deep you want your bait.
Good Luck, catch one for me.

    red worms
use at least a 6 lb line
trout prefer top water baits i put a small bobber on the line about 6 inches above the bait

  5. William B says:

use a nightcrawler on a sliding sinker rig and 2 foot leader with size 6 or 8 hook hooked just in the nose. inject a bit of air into the tail so it floats up a little ways..

  6. The Wormist says:

i agree with mountain man ,red worms .I’d make your line as light as you can
