if you like trout check out the white river trout hatchery. they have great trout fishing most of the year, and that area has special regulations to allow for fishing year round. trout are a cold water fish, and if the water is too warm they will suffocate and die. Check with eh arkansas dept of natural resources and see what they have listed for seasons and locations. If your not too far from the state line, missouri has several great trout farms and hatcheries.
In April-May for the spring time or in fall in Sept-Oct for trout fishing.. the rest time is too cold or too hot to get them.. people do not like to fish in cold water in winter time too cold PLUS trout is not there either In Summer too many men/women fishing trying to get it and trout will not bite if your talking about park public for trout to pay to get in to go fishing in We did that for six year we did not like that very well.. but you can get it cheaper at store…I know it is fun just catch it…but I am not that kind of person… but that is when you do it if you love it…Hope it help you..
Arkansas’ climate is far to warm for trout fishing. So, best to go in the coldest months possible before they die out.
